Big fan of these movies. The first two are my favourite.
Do you think we will see them in UHD? I know that they did a 2K DI for the Blu-ray anthology (according to http://www.capedwonder.com/bluray/), but do you think they will do a new one in 4K or simply just upscale the 2K DI? I wonder if these films would also really benefit from HDR. Also a Dolby Atmos mix possible maybe? |

WAC just announced a Superman The Movie Blu-ray set with the extended TV cut and the 2000 extended cut. Between this and the SII TV cut scenes showing up on the Donner Cut digital streaming copy it seems like things are not dormant on the home video front for Supes.
It seems to me like the most desirable destination for all this material is a massive UHD set to end all UHD sets. |
