I already own the Shout Factory release. It seems they’re both using the new 4K scan from the negative so I wonder how they’ll compare, and how different they will be, if at all.

I may be swayed into buying this version too if it turns out to be better.

Any idea when preorders will go up?

All one one disc, rather than two, and obviously different packaging too. Full exploded packshot going up later today, but it's definitely a hard outer box with an Amaray and 60-page booklet inside. At the £24.99 asking price, I'd expect there to also be artcards and a poster at least!

Very pedantic but...

"Back when the film was first released, Miss Collins said that the girls did a "really shitty thing the other day". On newer versions of the film it's a "really shitty thing yesterday". This must have been done when the filmmakers realized the scene took place the very next day after the opening shower incident and Betty Buckley obviously had to re-dub it. The dub is even noticeable on the DVD. " - IMDB
