The game is noteworthy for its unique horror-comedy tone and its early contributions to the world of 3D gaming. It’s still a fan favorite, and I’m proud we can resurrect Sir Daniel once again.

Medieval on the PS1 demo disc was one of the first games I experienced on PS1 and it was very memorable. Looking forward to more info on this as it nears the release date. Thanks for posting the news.

I never had a PS1, so I get excited when they revive classic games lol. Never played MediEvil, but I've heard it's actually supposed to be a hard game.

It has just the right amount of challenge to it, but the story was great. I don't remember part 2 but I have played part 1 at least half a dozen times.

Had a lot of fun with MediEvil on the original PlayStation, I loved it so much I even got the strategy guide for it. It's one of the few PS1 games that held its value, it consistently sells close to full price.

I beat the original many years ago, so i'm really looking forward to this remaster.

...please make a third installment, Sony. Make one that's better than the first sequel.

Hmmm, Maybe I was expecting too much but I'm not all that wowed by this. When I first saw the Crash and Spyro remakes I was like "WOW!" But this just looks kind of meh to me.

To each their own, but I don't really see how. It's the exact same thing as both of those. Fully remade graphics in 4k.

I'm really diggin' this recent trend of classic PS1 titles getting faithfully recreated. May it continue forever!

Would be quite fitting to release in that window but being a remake of a PS1 title, i wonder if they'll price it well enough to compete with the typical high profile fall releases that come October onwards.

There are many other titles it'd be fun to see this done for. In fact, if a game of that era has to be remade at all, I'd prefer this kind of approach for all of them.

Do we even know what we're getting though? I thought the episodic and action based changes were in the first draft that was scrapped. Have we actually gotten anything concrete since it was restarted?

I was listening to an old Retronauts episode and they were saying that nobody wants the same FF7 with better graphics and that it wouldn't sell to the masses. Well, that's exactly what I want (albeit with some QoL changes and they can also fix/add to the story).

All I want is an FF7 that is faithful to the original, with PS4 polished graphics. I'm not into the "Let's take FF XV and put that in an FF VII box!" If they want to add stuff that was cut from the original for time/space, more power to them, but leave the rest as it is, unless there's some tweaking that makes sense.
