Filmarena.cz listed Fincher's Panic Room 4k UHD for september 2018 release. This is great news since the blu-ray edition was not released anywhere. I love this movie.

I think this has a good chance of happening because there is a demand and market for it. Since it was never released on Blu-ray this is a perfect opportunity for Sony to sell the UHD BD release because it also comes with the BD. I wish Fox would do the same for True Lies and The Abyss, also two popular movies that never hit BD anywhere.

I know there are more worthy Fincher flicks for 4K UHD releases some of his best like Fight Club and Se7en and I'd want those more, but Panic Room never had a Blu-ray release so it's time. I do hope this release happens and these are not just rumors floating around.

Watched the old superbit dvd a few months ago and thought it was a pretty solid audio track, while the pq could definitely be improved. Should be an obvious step up given there was never a blu.

Dude...this is Sony we're talking about. It's getting a full 4K transfer sure as eggs is eggs. Twilight Time even mentioned (back when they briefly held the notion of releasing it on Blu) that they were waiting on Fincher to oversee a new 4K remaster.
