From Emmy-winning executive producer John Wells (ER, The West Wing) and Warner Bros. Television, Shameless stars Oscar-nominated actor William H. Macy (Fargo, Door to Door) as Frank Gallagher, the outspoken, alcoholic, single father of six industrious and independent kids from Chicago's South Side. The Gallaghers are finally on an upswing in Season Eight! Frank (William H. Macy, three-time Screen Actors Guild Award winner for his role on Shameless), tries to become a contributing member of society. Fiona (Emmy Rossum) finds success as a landlord. Lip (Jeremy Allen White) struggles to stay sober while Ian (Cameron Monaghan) takes up a cause. Debbie (Emma Kenney) tries life as a single working mom, while Carl (Ethan Cutkosky) gets creative finding tuition money after losing his military school scholarship. Meanwhile, Kev (Steve Howey) and V (Shanola Hampton) wrestle with Svetlana (Isidora Goreshter) at The Alibi.

There is that. But even as a somewhat slipcover fanatic myself, I'm more disappointed about the higher price point. I've paid about $15 for every release so far when on sale on a Best Buy end cap or so. With WAC that will end. I suppose if B&N carries it, the Dec 40% sale might be okay. Maybe hariseldon will stop by, he seems to know more about this stuff.

Pretty much the best TV WAC set prices (non Price Error) have been through the DEC 40% BN sale with the bigger XMAS coupons -- around $18 for non-members though if you plan ahead with the discounted GC they usually sell around BF you can get the net price under $15.

Occasionally Deep Discount will get under $25-30 for the $40 MSRP items. I did get iZombie S1 for $10-12 with an Amazon 3rd Party deal that makes no sense.

WAC -- no slipcovers, no digital copies though S7 didn't have a digital copy anyway

If you don't want to wait until Dec then the June 40% sale will pop up, but usually a 15-20% coupon is pretty much the best you can find, but that still slips under $20 -- plus any member discounts and discounted GC. In general WAC are not discounted online during the 40% sales nor carried in stores, so the orders have to be done as a store generated ship-to-home order


EDIT -- is there some place that the BD price was listed? I'm not seeing it in the Press release. Not all WAC TV sets are the same price.

Thanks for the info. I can certainly wait, so we'll see. sub $20 will be fine by me, and there's plenty of other stuff to watch to hold me over forever and always.

I haven't seen it listed either, but the release was just yesterday.

Plus WAC stuff usually takes a while, sometimes I don't see stuff until the week before release. Gilmore Girls: ADITL wasn't on bestbuy.com until a month or so after it was released.

Was hoping Deep Discount would put this up today before their 15% off ends tonight, but doesn't seem like it.

Ah well, there'll be other coupons before and after it's release I'm sure. Have to import this one as I doubt Canada will get it. And even if we did up here, it won't be for months after the American release, as has been the normal the past 6 seasons...

Get used to that going forward with WAC releases, you probably won't find a pre-order anywhere until 1-2 weeks before it's out, if not the week of.

I just came on here expecting to see Season 8 to be released around August time, and it's already planned for next month?? That's an amazingly fast release, considering the final episode aired not long ago. As a massive UK fan, I've imported every season, day 1 of release for around £30 each. As this is a Warner Archive release, will these pop up on eBay?? I really couldn't care about how expensive it will be, and the extra payment on import taxes. You can't put a price on your all time favorite show haha!! 👊

As you're in the UK, you should check out WowHD (and their sister sites ImportCDs and DeepDiscount). Cheaper than Amazon, and no import fees. Check out the threads in the UK section of the forum. The season 8 Blu-ray isn't listed there yet, but they sell all Warner Archives titles, so it will be.

Ah, cheers man!! I will check out those sites!! There are a couple of US sellers on eBay that I've purchased seasons over £15 that don't require import fees. So hopefully one of those will carry it 👊
