Very annoyed with Legacy 2 being a download code but I will still be buying this day one.

Part of me is hoping there will be a Japan release with both collections on a cart.

Picked this up today and spent a couple hours playing Mega Man. So much fun! Still disappointed about Collection 2 being digital but it was more important me to support a Mega Man release than protest against the digital bs.

I do wish Mega Man Powered Up was part of this collection as well.

Picked up my copy yesterday and started with the first Mega Man. It's been a while since I played the first game. I didn't realize that Guts Man's stage was so short. It probably felt longer from dying so much on those damn jumps at the beginning.

Also, you only get 15 gold coins for Collection 1 but you get 100 for Collection 2 once you download it.

Can't wait for X Collection to come next. I pre-ordered from Japan so that I have both physical (plus the artwork was cooler)

Do you have a link to the japan pre order release? I'd rather have physical copies for the X collection as well.

EDIT: NVM found it, but I'm wondering if the Japan releases will allow you to switch the language to English or if you are stuck with Japanese.

Mega Man Legacy has multiple language options, I'm assuming the Japanese version will be the same but obviously we won't know until the game releases. It would seem odd to do it for one and not the other though but it's Capcom, so who knows.

Yeah I ended up taking the chance and pre ordering the Japanese releases for X, so I could have both 1 and 2 on physical carts. We'll see...

Since it's half physical and half digital, I'm going to wait for a price drop, if I get it at all. Considering you can get both parts physically on PS4 and Xbone, it really annoys me that Capcom is pulling this crap.

They're doing the same thing with the Mega Man X Collection. Physical on those other two consoles, partly digital on Switch.

I totally get holding off but it is Mega Man and I couldn't resist.

It's more Nintendo in this situation because the cards are expensive and size issues. I wish they had just sold them separately like Japan is getting for the X Collection but then you get the complaints that it costs twice as much as the other consoles and "Nintendo Tax".

But Capcom could easily fit the entire collection on an 8GB card, yet they chose to go with the cheapest card Nintendo offers, which is 1GB. That’s what irks me the most. They are already charging $5 more* for the "physical" collection, just charge an extra $10 instead and have everything on an 8GB.

*If you buy collections 1 & 2 from the eShop it’s $35, compared to the $40 for the boxed copy.

They probably could have gotten away with a 4GB card. Part 1 is 345MB and part 2 is 3.2GB. The issue with that is the PS4 version claims to need "up to" 1GB(!) for a save file which may or may not be the case with this port.

Hell, I'd be fine with a 1GB and a 4GB dual pack.

These half physical releases are just dumb. Eventually the downloads will be shut off (Wii Ware) and you're left with part of what you paid for.

Didn't this happen with Bayonetta recently?

Similar, but not the same. With Bayonetta some of the codes were for the Wii U version (and some didn’t work at all). But a code was present.

I was going to get physical, but didn't have a chance to get to Best Buy. Decided just to download part 1 so far. Loving the rewind feature, even if it does make the games a lot easier. Most fun I've had with MM in a while. Great presentation and setup all around.

Pysched more for X collection now since those games are even better.
