I won a digital copy of Lady and the Tramp signature edition from a website contest. Entered the code on Movies Anywhere and received the original digital version not the signature edition. Then I went to DMR and entered the code and didn't notice anything posted. I reentered the code and it says I already have the signature edition, but I didn't receive points or get and have nothing listed in the DMR section for Lady and the Tramp. Is this possibly because it was a promotional website giveaway?

The movies anywhere problem is a known issue, I'm not sure if it has been fixed or not. I never looked into it myself since I don't mind having the original instead of the signature version.
As for the DMR points, that's probably an issue with whoever gave you the code if it's not working. There's a support link on the DMR site, but I'm not sure if they will help you since you didn't purchase it (ie don't have a receipt). But they may help if you can explain the problem. |

I think the DMR points are still good. If it was used, then it would have said it was already redeemed. The message you posted sounds more like the site thinks you already registered points from that title. Have you previously redeemed a code Lady and the tramp code for points in the past? Also, try entering the code while logged out, or in incognito mode. If you see the title with movie artwork while being asked to log in or signup, then pts should still be good.

Is there a difference between the original and Signature digital editions of Lady and the Tramp?
I see most of the additional features appear to be common between them, with maybe just a couple different featurettes. What about the films themselves? |

Thanks!
Hmmm ... I have both the original and Signature releases, but have not redeemed either code. I was just going to redeem the Signature release, since it will give me HD, whereas the original would only be SD, but I might do both to get the extra features. Do they redeem as separate versions in iTunes as well (with different features)? |

If you have the older version that works as an XML, then yes, you get SD, but you do not get differing bonus features from the digital version. Only the disc sets have differing bonus content. Bonus features (if any) are the same in the digital version.
On of the older BD editions is NOT an XML redeemable code, but simply a Disney Movie Rewards code. |

The original release had two styles of codes in it. One had a simply DMR code. A few had an XML code that also redeemed the movie (and the points). From what I understand, the XML code was rare. And if using that older XML code, it will redeem in SD (per Disney, who dictated that such codes (XML) would redeem still, but as SD). The new edition at least redeems in HD

When I redeemed my Beauty and the Beast diamond edition it originally came in SD, but it was later upgraded to HD.
I also got the bonus features from the Signature version, when that came out. |

1. There are no points with your promotional code. For whatever reason it will tell that you've already validated it or already been used. But it is just that points are not included with the promo code you were given.
2. This is a known issue when you redeem Lady & The Tramp at Movies Anywhere. Contact them and they should add the Signature Edition to your account. That's what the code should have redeemed and that's what the code was for. Start a live chat with them to explain the situation and it should be fixed quickly. I would personally not redeem on Movies Anywhere, redeem at Vudu if you can, but with those promo codes its likely MA was your only option. Quote:
Those XML codes (you need the disc to redeem at itunes) now redeem SD and stay SD. Also, when Beauty and the Beast released they just updated the previous version with the new features and artwork. Now they release completely separate versions like a-holes to force us to buy it again. |

Last year I purchased the original Toy Story 3 blu ray that came with the digital copy on the disc, and I was able to get it in HD after deleting the SD version. Is that because there's only one version of Toy Story 3, whereas this is a new edition of Lady and the Tramp?
