I am interested in getting This is Us if/when the price drops to my buying point.
My question is do you guys prefer Vudu or iTunes when it comes to TV series? I assume they won't port over if I just choose one of these services so I want to make the wisest decision. Does one service provide better PQ than the other? I love mostly everything about my Apple 4k TV with the exception of the remote and the fact that if I ever ditch the box I won't be able to access itunes anywhere (well except for my phone which I won't use to watch). At least with Vudu it's available on most devices. thanks Last edited by maverick22; 03-22-2018 at 03:19 PM. |

I've found VUDU's picture quality to be consistently better than iTunes, but I'm only streaming 1080p, not 4k so can't speak to 4k.

Do you plan to ditch your appletv? If you don't, then go with iTunes since you said you "love mostly everything" about it. If you do, then go with VuDu. |

I dont do VUDU but i can say the quality of iTunes tv shows is really good, well, up until recently...it looks as though Amazon have better quality with their movies and tv shows, noticeably sharper image and a tad bit better colour. But because my collection is with iTunes, im sticking to iTunes

![]() I think the image quality is very good on both, and it may change over time as they improve their services. So that should probably not be the deciding factor. Personally I like the convenience of being able to download and back up my TV shows to my NAS via iTunes and quickly throw the files on my laptop or iPad when traveling (no better way to pass a long international flight than binging a good TV show ![]() Let's hope Movies Anywhere will be extended to TV shows in the future and make this a non-issue ... |

Yeah see I just worry if I ever ditch the Apple TV. I don't watch on my phone or a laptop. I have some 4k content, but I know TV shows will for now be HD mainly.
Again I like the fact that Vudu is more accessible. I believe I did just miss out on This is Us Season 2 for only $9.99! I told myself I'll wait until Tuesday to see if Tmobile offers a Vudu credit. Sure enough, Vudu offered a $5.50 credit on Tuesday with Tmobile, but then This is Us went up to like $24.99! Vudu probably knew what they were doing. I wish there was just one service we could just trust long term. Tough decision! Thanks for all the replies so far. |

Well I don't do iTunes, and my vote goes to Vudu. I have many TV shows there in HDX, and I love their Video Quality. It's also very easy to Resume and keep track of your viewings. I have a Sony UHD 65" TV, that is Hard Wired straight from my Fiber Feed Switch. So my Video Quality is Rock Solid and Fantastic!

I am not a fan of the 4th gen Apple TV (what I have ) Watch Now interface at all. Unscientifically, it also seems buggy and doesn't show my purchased shows fairly often. No problems like that on Vudu. |

I am using Android 8.1 on my Google Pixel 2 currently and as I open the app it only displays a black screen during the startup and crashes itself automatically in few secs. It had been running just fine on Android 7.0 however upon upgrading the OS today I have been encountering this issue. How do I fix it guys?

I’ll go with VUDU due to its accessibility plus they tend to have more sales on TV shows. I think they just had one on This Is Us last week.

I use Vudu. However, I've been waiting for the longest time for them to get some of my favorite 80s/90s sitcoms available. I noticed that most or all seasons of shows like Roseanne and Full House are on Google Play. I've got nothing against GP, but it almost looks like they're jumping in the competition as far as TV. Even though UV is becoming more of a thing of the past, its still cool to have some shows in my collection in that format. I'm like everyone else, something has to be done about TV series, in the same case as Movies Anywhere (accessibility on more than one platform)
