Yes, I know it's all subjective. Try to save people 80-90 mins. of their lives by helping them avoid trash that you had to endure!

College Killer (2012)

Such a great indie film release, and a fairly solid transfer onto blu-ray for both the PQ & AQ, but unfortunately this German release from Tiberius Film for Justin Russell's The Sleeper (re-titled for this blu-ray release as College Killer) has been heavily cut & censored, thus diminishing the reason for the initial purchase of this film.

A great 80's "throwback" film, solid acting chops delivered by a reasonably good cast, a typical 80's slasher storyline, a synthed-out musical score, and in the original release, a bucket-load of blood, gore, and hammer hits to the head. It's extremely disappointing to see Germany drop the ball with this blu-ray release.

There's a number of nice extras on this, but this doesn't make up for the removal of the key scenes & basic reasons for buying a movie like this. You want the gore in this, but it's all been excised.

A definite "swing and a miss" for Germany's Tiberius Film on this particular release.

Don't be fooled by that fantastic cover!

Avoid.

If you're into throwback horror flicks & are considering purchasing this movie, you're far better off going for the US DVD release for this film.

Probably not. It had a very limited release in the US with the aforementioned DVD, as well as a sweet DVD/VHS combo -

Unfortunately, no Stateside blu release to date.

I grabbed the German blu in the hope that it was "intact" with regard the more graphic elements of the film. Sadly, it has been butchered worse than any of the kills therein.

Great cover tho on the German blu, but that's about it.

There's a DVD/VHS Sleeper combo on ebay atm -

zombie hunter- - The blu ray cover and plot summary make it seem like it is a danny trejo vs the zombies horror film. Trejo is only a few minutes in it, and the movie is horrible with everything fro. crappy effects to a mad max wannabe.
