Default Rock & Roll Hall of Fame: In Concert Blu-ray - April 24, 2018

This 2 Blu-ray set features 53 live performances!

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Rock-...lu-ray/198215/

Quote:
As the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame entered its third decade, induction ceremonies featured the biggest names in classic rock from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s. In many cases the original line-ups of bands performed together for the first time in years; other performances featured the kind of collaborations and jam sessions that have made the Rock Hall concerts legendary.
ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME: IN CONCERT FEATURES:
  • This 2 Blu-Ray Set features poignant reunions, moving and often hilarious induction speeches, and 53 iconic performances.
  • The best moments from the 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 induction ceremonies.
  • Bruce Springsteen joining inductees the E Street Band for the deep-cut classic The E Street Shuffle from the Boss’s second album, from 1973.
  • Legendary grunge-rock group Pearl Jam delivering thundering performances of Alive, Given to Fly and Better Man.
  • The two surviving members of Nirvana joined on stage by Lorde, Annie Clark, Kim Gordon and Joan Jett for emotional renderings of the group’s biggest hits.
  • Cat Stevens performing a spine-tingling version of Father & Son that rendered the massive Barclays Center quiet as a church.
  • Journey performing three classic cuts: Separate Ways (Worlds Apart), Lights and Don't Stop Believin'.
  • Ringo Starr being welcomed into the Rock Hall with a little help from Paul McCartney. Features complete Hall of Fame induction speeches, including: Coldplay’s Chris Martin inducting Peter Gabriel
  • Metallica’s Lars Ulrich inducting Deep Purple

Good, I see Yes was included (Geddy Lee plays bass on Roundabout), might have to pick this one up.

I will most definitely pick this one up. The 25th anniversary of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is the most played disk of my collection.

Hello all,

I know we have Jeffrey Kauffman's review on the site of this Blu-ray set, but I thought I'd post my review also. Here's the link:

Thanks,

Default Thank you Marshall!

If you are interested in this title, it is well worth checking out Marshall's review. There is some great material on these recent discs, including the newly released Hall of Fame Encore. I love that Marshall goes into specifics about what is NOT included. It is so sad that some of my favorite artists were left of these releases (Kiss, Steve Miller, Hall & Oates, Neil Diamond) but I still recommend these for what you do get. Joan Jett's performance of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is worth getting this alone.

Marshall, I hope you are going to post a review of the new "Encore" set.

BTW, even though it states on the insert that sound is Dolby Digital, this is actually DTS-HD.
