If I were you, I would shop online and then have delivery to your hotel.

No need. I live in HK and have all the answers for cheaper and clearer options. Yesasia and dddhouse have marked up prices compared to actual physical stores not including shipping

- Basement and 10 Floor has many stores selling new/used blu-rays/4KUHD/DVDs of everything. The 10th floor store has an epic amount of used steelbook blu-rays. I’ve never seen so many steelbooks in my life.

The stores I listed have great selection for cheapest in Hong Kong. There are HMVs around town too but they mark up the prices way too high. Good luck, message me if you want a video store guide when you are in town!👍

My pleasure! These stores are basically separated into two areas. Mong Kok and Yau Ma Tei stores are in walking distance to each other (three buildings) on the Kowloon side of HK. While the other building is in Wan Chai on the HK Island side of HK.

I just heard about the HMV stores in Hong Kong closing. Do you know what the plan is? Will there be long store-closing sales? I think it took a few months for HMV to shut down in Canada.

I'll be in Hong Kong around the middle of March. Will they still be around then?

it doesnt matter. The sales they are having now are for the movies no one wants - bargain bin movies. All the other videos that you do want are not on sale.

That CDW location at Langham was closed a long time ago. It's now replaced by Lego store(which is unlike any other Lego stores in the rest of the world, it's actually worth a visit)

I found a great store last time I was there last year. Unfortunately I forgot where it is or what it's called because I have no sense of direction in HK. What is it with Asian shops that have absolutely zero presence online and no way of finding them? So far, no-one has been able to tell me why this is. It's totally the opposite to how small business works in the West, where you can google/Bing anything you need, mostly.

Changing the subject a bit, are there any stores in SHENZHEN? Does china have their own bluray releases and if so are they same like the Hong Kong versions or different. I am going in June and will spend a day in Shenzhen lelectronics market.
