There is no artwork shared by IVE Entertainment so far.

The source is their Korean social media.

Yes, the DVD and BD are both releasing a month or so apart, with the DVD coming this month, I think.

My God, IVE Entertainment aren’t messing about! This will be released in two editions: Fullslip and Special Boxset. Both the editions will be on preorder from 8th-18th October, with release on 15th November.

The Fullslip will come with a 52-page photo book and 5 postcards in an envelope.



The Special Boxset Edition will be housed in a hard case with a lenticular front. It will include a 72-page Scenario Book, a 424-page (!) Storyboard Book, a 52-page Photo Book, the Fullslip Edition and the 5-postcards also have the possibility of being signed either by the director, Yoon Kye-sang or Ma Dong-seok! If preordered, it will also come with a free gift of an extra illustrated Fullslip. Phew!

If only the movie was a slight bit longer, it may have had a bigger storyboard book than The Handmaiden. They made up for that shortcoming with the other two books though.

This looks VERY interesting.
If you have seen the film, would you recommend a blind buy?
I have many other East Asian fliks in my collection, so I have a basic idea of what will be in store.
I'm of a thought, with the effort they've put into the release, it must be good enough to warrant it.

That special box reminds me a lot of the Ghost in the Shell box they did. That set turned out super nice, so I expect the same here.

Check Amazon where you live. In the US, we can rent it for $2.99, so I was able to check it out. I'd say it's good but not great. Plenty of enjoyable gang vs. gang vs. cop violence. And the main character is the big dude from Train to Busan. His charisma goes a long way. I think it's worth picking up on blu-ray, but keep your expectations reasonable.

Nova has it for preorder too, but they don't allow k-packet shipping. EMS goes even higher than the price of the Edition itself

Just a heads up. Nova seems to be having a pricing issue with their check-out right now.
I went to order 'The Outlaws" box set and "shipping came up as $1,000 usd heh heh.
Not sure what's going on but as they said they were taking "a short break" that may include the attentive calculations of their computer system.
Perhaps you may wish to wait a day or two for them to get back on track.

Did you select the k-packet shipping option? Shipping came up to $999,999.00 for me with that lol. When I emailed them, Nova confirmed that they will not be providing the k-packet option for the Special Box.
