Amanda Seyfried will star opposite Kevin Bacon in You Should Have Left, a supernatural thriller from Jason Blum’s Blumhouse.

David Koepp, the veteran screenwriter behind Jurassic Park and 2002's Spider-Man, will direct the project, which will go into production later this year.

Blumhouse described the project as “the unsettling story of a wealthy man with a younger wife and a 6-year-old child. Mistrust and suspicion characterize their marriage while they are in a remote location that may or may not be obeying all the physical laws of the universe.”

Bacon is the wealthy man while Seyfried will play his wife, an actress with a secret.

The script is based on the novel by Daniel Kehlmann, which Bacon found and brought to Koepp. Bacon is producing with Blum.

No, I think those are passable. Nothing wrong with liking older men or women. But Bacon is old enough to be her father, lol! If I didn't knew these actors, maybe I wouldn't find it a bit distracting at all.

The fact they describe it like that makes me think it'll be a plot point...not just weird casting

Some of them have gone for rental and purchase (Bloodshot, Scoob, The Way Back) but I forgot Blumhouse=Uni so, that’s my own mistake.

Okay, just my first impression after reading Mr. Orndorf's usual good review...

I know this is probably just me, but can we please, Please, PLEASE just get on with the good Suspenseful, Scary, well-done Horror films and jettison all this 'dealing with guilt' and 'relationship' and 'dealing with grief, loss, whatever', etc., etc., etc., $h*t.... PLEASE!

I mean, C'mon... dispense already with the Soap Operas and big Melodrama. Can we just have a decent, Damn good and effective story, okay...??? GEEZ, I am just personally so damn TIRED of all this crap they try to work into just about every frigg'n Horror film these days to make it more 'Real'...

Well... I've got a Newsflash for you film makers, okay...? We have had just about enough F**k'n 'REAL' right about now, alright...?
