Professor Phillip Goodman devotes his life to exposing phony psychics and fraudulent supernatural shenanigans. Yes, I've wanted to see it too, but it got such a limited theatrical run.

Superb movie, my favourite of the year so far. Blind buy with confidence, this is an excellent horror movie with some great surprises.

That’s a great price, but the shipping + tax kills the deal. I’ll wait for the release date and just pick it up at the store.

Saw it tonight, and it was such a disappointment. I wanted to like it, but it just fell short.

I thought the 1st story was terrific, the others were fine but not quite as good but overall a pretty decent effort.

In the end it’s nothing more than a mix of clichés and half-baked ideas that culminate in an extremely unoriginal and tired twist.

I’ll give it a passing grade for a few moments of effectively creepy atmosphere and some frightening imagery here and there.

Are you familiar with Dyson's other work? He has frequently spoofed horror cliches in his work, and although I haven't seen this yet maybe that's what he's doing? Possibly my favourite ever piece of work the and the league of Gentlemen team did was this. It's hilarious.

I decided to take a chance on this movie and pick this up due to the great price it is at currently on Amazon. I have not seen it but for $13 I am willing to take a chance on it because I have heard great things about it.

I liked this much better then two other highly praised horror movies I recently seen in A Quiet Place and Pyewacket (this one was not as far behind though). I agree the first 1/3 was by far the best but Martin Freeman was awesome in his role and giving it a day or two to resonate I appreciated the final 1/3 much more then I immediately did. It was nice to not be totally disappointed in a movie that had hype surrounding it as that has been happening a lot to me this year. It is also one I think is worthy of multiple viewings which is always a good thing when thinking about purchasing.

I found the film to be very underwhelming and disappointing. I was hoping for more of a traditional anthology-style film. I found the connecting narrative to be weak, and the vignettes (for want of a better word) or "ghost stories" really weren't that good. And the ending was simply strange and didn't fit with the rest of the film. In the end, I didn't find the film to be anything more than a one-time watch and something that really doesn't have any replay value for me. Its not a bad film, but it wasn't my cup of tea.

People aren't saying why they didn't like it.... was it because it was too slow and not enough action? Because if that's the case, that is fine with me. British ghost stories are traditionally all about chills and atmosphere and not so much about special effects and scares. They also are known to have surreal or weird subtext that brings the creepiness to the surface. I'm hoping this is a true British ghost story.

I don't think it is. Unlike with those, the framing story here is the main bulk of the film while the individual tales are little more than creepy situations rather than fully developed stories. They mainly are there to contribute to the main plot. It's a little unsatisfactory on a plot level but often funny and genuinely spooky in equal part.
