^^^ Shout never really owned the rights if I recall. It was a colab and Shout mainly handled the special features. Although I agree having a matching one for the first film would have been neat.

The steelbook artwork for Halloween 3 gives the false impression that Michael Myers is in the film, people who haven’t seen it might think he’s in the movie based on this artwork.

Why is that?? Unless I am missing something the only thing I see is his mask in a bin with other Halloween masks which I do not see as an issue.

It’s his mask in the artwork. The film is about Silver Shamrock masks in which Michael’s mask isn’t one of them. If I never heard of the plot for Halloween 3 and pick up the steelbook I could assume Michael might be in it because his mask is shown on the cover. I would say the same holds true for the overseas blu-ray of Friday the 13th blu ray artwork that shows Jason’s mask on the cover giving the impression Jason is the killer in the film.

I see your point, I guess I just don't look into things that much. It doesn't bother me since it is not prominent in the artwork.

What disc art does SF use in their Steels? Does it match the case? I would hope for original poster art, so these can be swapped into the Complete Collection box set, and match.

Oh well, I may have to quintuple(?)-dip anyway. (I've owned these films on every major format since VHS, sometimes more than once, so why stop now?)

It's an Easter egg, that on the final product, will be partially obscured by the spine, and only really be visible in the very bottom-right corner of the back cover. Find something else to b!tch about.

That art is pretty bad. I love this film beyond all measure, but that art was thought up by folks with no imagination imo. The original one sheet art would've been epic on a steel. Of course, I have to get it, but maybe I'll just throw it in my redone Shout case.

I do have the nice Shout slips for Halloween II & III and I have wanted nice steelbooks and while I want to like these I am just not sure.

I could MAYBE see rebuying it for the new transfer, but the artwork for these 2 steels is atrocious. If they used the original artwork for them, then I'd rebuy in a heartbeat.
