TV’s first animated action-adventure series is about to take you on a breathless ride. All 26 episodes charting the fantastic exploits of brave and brainy 11-year-old Jonathan Quest are yours in a 3-disc set, as originally first broadcast in prime-time on ABC-TV during the 1964-65 season. Unlike the outrageous fantasy plots of cartoons that preceded it, Jonny Quest drew on science and detective-style logic to solve mysteries and apprehend sophisticated villains. Glad to see more classic animation on Blu-ray, and this show is a fun retro guilty pleasure of mine. Too bad this comes just a couple months after I got the DVD set, but I’ll still pick this up. Wonder if this has anything to do with clips being used in Incredibles 2.

Hopefully Scooby-Doo! Where Are You?! is next. That show was my favorite as a child.

Oh My God! Best news I've heard in this flurry of announcements! WOW!

The DVDs have some problems (some of the episodes look pretty bad and there are some audio edits that should be undone) but I have total faith in WB that they will restore and clean-up these classic episodes.

This is really amazing news!!!

I had figured that "Hey-Hey, Yogi Bear" and "Man Called Flintstone" films would of been first HB stuff on Blu but uncut JQ is always welcomed in my book!

I wouldn't mind if they would offer both audio tracks on the couple episodes that are problematic for some. They could do an original track and an altered track on those episodes.

As an adult I understand the time the show was made in and it doesn't bother me, but I also understand that maybe some people with kids would want to avoid some of the language in those episodes.

I really don't like the idea of altering old shows/movies but if they offer both versions that should please everyone.
