Likely because Lucy in 4K UHD received some pretty high technical reviews and was pretty much a showcase disc, even its not such a great film. Home theater enthusiasts will buy a film just because it looks great.

Fully expecting yet another close up of Scarlett's face since that has been the extent of the art for this movie every time it's been released.

Yeah I don't get it. This wasn't the worst movie ever but it certainly wasn't good or steel worthy. It's not like it has even had some groundswell appreciation, cult status or anything. Just weird.

I like the movie a lot and it's still one of my fav 4k's but I already have the zavvi steel which is really nice so I'll pass

There's no such thing anymore. Look at Zavvi's in stock page to see lots of examples.

Pretty much most major releases get a steel, these days.

They could do a Blu-ray steelbook for The Room and people would buy it, myself included. So what does steel worthy actually mean. It's already had a steelbook anyway so a 4K steel would be an upgrade.

Of course you could just take the regular steel and put the 4K BD and BD in it and you got a nice 4K Lucy steel.

The Room isn't a good example because it actually is a cult hit, I'd buy that as a steel.
I am sure there are fans of Lucy out there but I never hear anything from them, probably few and far between and more than likely not enough to justify another/new steelbook.

Well if Wiseau is reading this please do a 4K UHD steelbook for "The Room".
I would buy that day one.

As for Lucy having fans, pretty sure some of the film are out there. It's not a cult hit like The Room though so I see your point.

A poster just mentioned that home theater enthusiasts were impressed by the 4K disc. Perhaps that is Best Buy's target audience with this release.
