Huh. Wasn't even aware there was another Blu season coming out. Not a bad choice either, if you're not going back to Tom Baker again. Looking forward to picking this up.

I rarely pre-order, but I made sure I did on this one to let the folks at Roadshow know there is interest in releasing these seasons here...
Season 18 (Tom bakers final run as Doctor) is the next one up for pre-sale in the UK. So here's hoping that one turns up here eventually as well.

I don't know why we're suddenly getting the thin end of the stick again in release dates. Toward the end of the old DVD range, we were basically on the same day, now we're back to being at the back of the queue. If the US can get it the same week as the UK, why do we have to wait? They did the same with Shada too last year, and it seems very dumb when you could have it out for Xmas...

Maybe it's because the BBC keeps stuffing up the discs and they don't want to have to issue corrected discs again like they did with the two discs for the last release. They might be delaying to get it right the first time.

Apparently there is a problem with one of the discs for this which the BBC is currently looking into.

From what I read in the UK thread, there's a sync issue on one of the bonus features. I'd 100% expect our version to have the same issue, as I can't see some BBC Boffin fixing that for us lot over here and I'd doubt there'd be a replacement program just for a bonus feature... Personally, I could live with that fault as long as the episodes themselves are 100%.

I have Black Orchid on DVD, I rememebr thinking the story is incomplete through missing chapeters or episodes. I may watch it again

They're including a fixed version on the next release.

Unfortunately, the episodes themselves were slightly less than 100%, but no disasters. The errors are posted in the UK and US threads. Hopefully you guys fare better, though it seems unlikely of course. Great set as a whole, though.

Watched The Visitation recently and the errors (scanner screen & missing insert shot of android activating villager) are also present for the Australian release.

That's great to know. I guess we have to play the waiting game to see if season 18 gets a release here...

My credit card was charged yesterday, so it may arrive before the 23rd?
I've never done a JB pre-sale. So I'm not sure if they send out on the release date, or before to arrive on the date... I'll soon find out though!

Toll just delivered the season 19 set two days before the official release... Has the same flip-open card-board case style packaging that the Tom Baker season 12 release has... Looks really good! I'm happy with it.

The UK thread has complaints about postal mutilations on the packaging with this set, but mine arrived looking near mint (on a poster grading scale). Although there was a loose disc rattling around inside the box (the very bottom disc) but thankfully there were no scratches on it.

Bring on Season 18!

Picked up mine from JB today... All looks good. Just popped the first disc in. I am going to see if any of the Disc ID's differ from the UK set

Seems pretty clear to me from the packaging that they're intending to roll these out for every season they can, which would be awesome. I mean, I already have every available story on DVD but these box sets are purrty.

Does anyone know what they use to stick the digistack to the packaging? Mine's already coming loose. They look like little glue blobs.
