So this isn't completely confirmed yet, but Le Chat Qui Fume in France posted this on Facebook:

Nous sommes en train de travailler sur notre édition collector de LA ROSE ÉCORCHÉE qui arrive en avril. Normalement cette édition DVD/BLURAY sera déclinée en 2 versions. L'une d'elle sera limitée à 500 exemplaires.
Mais comme nous l'avons dis un peu plus bas dans un de nos posts, nous réfléchissons à mettre un disque UHD 4K en plus du BLURAY et du DVD.
Mais par contre nous ne souhaitons pas augmenter le prix de notre édition ! Vous ne rêvez pas, nous aimerions vous proposer une édition ultime avec de la 4K pour le prix d'une édition DVD/BLURAY ! Pour LA ROSE ÉCORCHÉE !!

They also confirmed it will include both an English dub and English subs.

Very weird and exciting! Seems like niche UHD is finally starting to get a foothold in 2019! Really hoping this happens...

I’m surprised no one else seems to be interested in this release. An obscure French horror film from the ‘70s getting a UHD disc derived from a 4K OCN scan seems like a big deal to me.

Is this the first UHD classic gothic? I might have to support this, it would be a blind buy. Jonathan Rigby had mixed things to say about it in his euro gothic book.

I just tried to order this, as pre-orders were delayed until today. I had a lot of trouble with the cart telling me I had multiple items in it, then I finally got it to show only The Blood Rose, went through to PayPal, and after the payment went through, I got a screen that says "Fatal Error" and no record of the order.

Even worse, the PayPal receipt shows I paid €25,00, but not for The Blood Rose. Instead, it claims I paid for a film called Amour et Mort dans le jardin des dieux (Love and Death in the Garden of the Gods).

Apparently, if this "Fatal Error" occurs, you are to contact Le Chat qui Fume, which I have now done. Hopefully, it gets sorted.

For the curious, I should point out that my situation was quickly fixed yesterday by someone from Le Chat qui Fume. I did have to place another order (and received another "Fatal Error"), but this time, the PayPal receipt had the correct item, so that did the trick, and their customer service was extremely helpful.

I'm really looking forward to the release. Hopefully, Le Chat qui Fume can release more UHD Blu-rays in the future.

Got mine today. Annoyingly, no menu so it starts to play and you have to change language settings by pop up menu.

UHD is more colourful and grain much better resolved than the BD, at least in the opening which is all I've watched so far.

Case is standard for Le Chat, cardboard, roughly same size as a mediabook.

I m french,viewed yesterday even if without HDR the copy is wonderful,great colors and photography.

In their Facebook page,le Chat qui fume announces still have 170 copies(printnly 1500 and no reissue)
