Default Midnight, Texas: Season Two (March 26th)

TVShowsOnDVD posted today on their weekly Facebook post it'll be a MOD release. They previously announced a regular retail DVD version but this is welcomed news.

Just gotta wait for the preorder links.

I wonder how they find out about MOD stuff... Since it's by a different branch of Universal Studios Home Entertainment, it doesn't show up on the press site I have of theirs.

I never got around to getting s1, and the s2 was a hot mess so I wouldn't have bought it anyway... BUT more TV on BD is still always good for everybody, especially for those that are fans.

I'm glad that I checked here on the forum to see if there was any discussion. I looked at Amazon and they listed a Blu-ray option for Season 2 (along with a Blu-ray stock photo), but it's not available for preorder or purchase unless you want the DVD (which I certainly don't).

My search online didn't lead me anywhere, so I contacted Universal Home Entertainment directly to ask about the status of a Blu-ray release; I just received an e-mail with the following info: "Many factors influence the timing and content of our releases, and no plans have been announced for the Blu-ray release of this title. Unfortunately, no further information is available at this time."

Based on that info from customer service, I suppose it makes sense that it's from an alternative UPHE outlet. I've purchased a few MOD items, and they've all been perfect in terms of quality -- so I'm thrilled we're getting a Blu-ray to match Season 1.
I really hate it when we get Season 1 on Blu-ray and then the rest are released on DVD only. Season 1 of "The Killing" was released on Blu-ray, but the rest were not. I'm thinking about getting the UK versions of Season(s) 2, 3 & 4. I'm actually surprised we haven't gotten a box set here in the US, since box sets have been released elsewhere.

I was gutted by the cancellation announcement, but not surprised; it's NBC after all. I do appreciate the ability to have the Blu-ray though.

It could still be coming out, as I said, they're handled by two different branches of the same company, like WB Home Entertainment and Warner Archive Collection. The MOD titles don't show up on UPHE's press site, but they've still been released.

Plus a lot of times mod releases don't have preorders go live until closer to release date..... Atleast in my experience.

Just visited Amazon and the Blu-ray is now priced & available for preorder.

Amazon Link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07NB...0985898&sr=8-2

The current price of $44 is somewhat standard for the preorder of a new TV series Blu-ray, although I'm sure the price will go down a bit. I haven't been able to locate an online store to purchase it directly from UPHE, but I suppose that could potentially be less expensive.
