^ That's the now-OOP 9-disc version, which came with the poster and slipcover, yeah -- that's the version I own, and AFAIK it always came with those two items included. Not sure what the new, reduced 6-disc version includes, though.

I wish.The only 4K film shown last year out doors in L.A. was Star Trek 2. No word yet about Star Trek on 4K disc. Why Paramount is dragging it's heals on this I have no clue. If and when they do I hope they do a better job then they did On 1080P blu-ray. The DNR on Start Trek 4 was ugly. Since Star trek use to be there cash cow you would think they would give us a great picture. But if truth be told ,looking at the Star Wars 4k discs some of those movies were ugly ,horrble job done on those discs.

I think they did but just the 4k discs. I don't get why they include the 1080p blu-rays ? Oh wait they didn't it was just the 3 blu-rays .

Years ago Paramount put Khan, Search for Spock and Voyage Home into their own 'motion picture trilogy' BD release: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Star-...-Blu-ray/4191/, I figured it was only a matter of time before they'd do so with them Kelvins. That always seemed a bit silly, this does not though as it makes perfect sense even if it is rather late with it.

Lovely art, yeah. I'm confused as to what the extra disc is with Beyond, is that the retailer exclusive extras (Target edition I think it was) that they've bundled in? And it'd be so awesome if they'd re-encoded these 4K discs with DV in the meantime, seeing as Paramount are so mad about it now, but who am I kidding? That'll only happen in an alternate timeline.

It was also a Sainsbury exclusive over here in the UK. Funny enough, managed to grab it off eBay yesterday for £3.61 delivered. Guessing it is this disc unless it's the 3D disc (which wouldn't make sense since STID 3D isn't included.

Why not 1, and why 4? I guess 4 is important to complete the Spock story started in 2, but 1 deserves to be on UHD too. I like 1 way better than 4 personally, though 4 is pretty funny and has some good moments.

This isn't even the whole story, is it? If I remember correctly they were planning to do a few more movies? The set looks great, but if it isn't even complete there's no point in buying it. Plus I have the original releases. This release looks great though, so if there won't be any new films I would have gotten this one.

Kelvin actors seem to think they'll be involved with the QT one (I know Quinto and maybe Urban have spoken to that effect). But IMHO the QT movie is kind of a pipe dream; I hope it happens but I'm not expecting it to.

I enjoyed Beyond. It's a shame it did so poorly. I enjoyed both 2 and 3 much more than the first one.

Honestly, Beyond was kind of shit compared to the first two movies. Apparently audiences agreed.

If the third film was better then #4 would have been a shoo-in.

Uhh, I thought 4 was delayed because the actors wanted better pay which then made it difficult to make as schedules started filling up and it’s pretty much been shelved as CBS juggles with their current explosion of TV Trek and Paramount the Tarantino movie.
