Picked up mine from JB's on Boxing Day.

And even with the 30% off, it's still overpriced. One of the worst seasons in the entire history of the show, so I can't really work out why it was released so early. Personally I would have preferred S22 which had much more variation and featured the Master, the Cybermen and the Daleks. And Paul Darrow!

Gotta get the dreck out sooner or later. Best save the good stuff for later.

S22 is definitely his best season - Lytton, Cybermen, Androgums, Sontarans and Orcini & Bostock, Daleks.

Even at around $48.00, it still feels like an extortionist eBay pice.

Sure, but it's still a massive disappointment for only the 5th of these releases.

Yeah, I'd actually forgotten about the Sontarans (and Pat Troughton - for shame!!). It certainly wasn't a perfect season but there was still so much good stuff throughout the year.

Considering it only came in at 14 episodes in total, it's highway robbery. Really disappointing stuff, but there was no way Who fans would skip it and I'm sure they knew it.

The next upcoming 6th classic collection release will be another short series. Series 26 Featuring the seventh doctor Sylvester McCoy's final Season 3 from 1989 on 7 BD Released by Universal Pictures Australia. Who are now the official distributes of BBC and Doctor Who in Australia.

152 - Battlefield (4 x 25min)
153 - Ghost Light (3 x 25min)
154 – The Curse of Fenric (4 x 25min)
155 - Survival (3 x 25min)

From what I can tell the release date for the collection series 26 is 4th March 2020.

Fans will buy these at any price. Though there is no way I'd pay $80 for these when they are released or the OOP $100-200+ each collection is asking for when they sell out. So getting these at around $35-45 is good value.

Uggh. I know some Who fans rave about McCoy in S26 but for me he's only a slight improvement on his debut year (S24) which I consider the worst in the show's history. Again, I would have much preferred 25 with the Daleks, Cybermen and the creepy Greatest Show in the Galaxy.

Let's just agree that the Boxing Day sales came around at the right time. I'm glad I didn't have to pay any more for S23 than I did.

The special features are great though. The drama behind the scenes was far more interesting than anything that made it to screen.
