Default LG OLED - Disney UHD Atmos Compatibly Issues?

My copy of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil finally showed up late from DMC, and wouldn’t you know it....yet another Disney 4K disc I’ve bought and haven’t been able to watch due to the Atmos track. I can’t figure it out, but every Disney 4K release since The Nutcracker (first I noticed it with, anyway) the Atmos track skips. It’s like a weird “tick tick tick” sound, rapidly cutting in & out like and old scratched up CD back in the day, but the picture is perfect. I blamed my region free LG UP970 and bought a region free Sony UBP-X800M2 to replace it. Hooked it up last night, put in the Maleficent 2 UHD.....same damn skipping sounds on the Atmos track. It’s connected directly to my LG OLED55C7P, which would seem to be the common denominator. I popped in Blade Runner 2049 and a few other non-Disney UHDs with Atmos tracks and they play perfectly. Anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it? This is killing me.

It is. The Atmos tracks work on every other UHD and streaming platform.

I used to get a problem with Atmos dropouts, but only when streaming through apps from my C7 OLED (i.e. netflix, disney+) using HDMI ARC. I ended up replacing my HDMI cable with a definitively premium HDMI cable and the dropouts went away.

I ditched my crappy HDMI cables when I got a TV & devices that support HDCP 2.2 and bought much better certified premium cables. But, I did have that thought, so I swapped out cables between my player, PS4 Pro and AppleTV 4K. Same results with all of them.
