After HOTEL it felt like they’ve been giving each season the number of episodes they needed to tell the story. Especially MURDER HOUSE and ASYLUM felt like they had a lot of filler. APOCALYPSE and 1984 felt about right.
This would be more interesting if they were making each one as a single AHS universe self contained movie. They could do what AHS has been doing for years giving great actors scenery to chew but instead giving genre directors creative freedom to make a movie. Then release a season of five or six movies a year. |

How is it so far for those that have seen the first two episodes?
I dropped out halfway through season 3 of the original series. It was very hit or miss for me. I liked season 2 a lot, season 1 was kind of ‘meh’ for me, and season 3 couldn’t decide if it was a comedy or a horror show. Obviously you can do both at the same time but to me it felt like the show didn’t know how to handle being both at the same time. Every since then I’ve heard pretty mixed things on the rest of the seasons so I’ve never bothered to pick it up again. There’s too much good TV out there and the main series just doesn’t seem to cut it anymore. |

It’s still novel for me that we can get a 90min TV movie with no heterosexual characters.

I mean we are in Woke era so you know Hollywood than again didn't care since the theme was always like that when it came to murder house and they are not the first gay couples to die in that house if remember correctly from AHS first season. |

Didn't get the point of current episodes a re-hash of first season into 80 minutes and with new characters while hinting the originals still in the house (obviously).
If episode three is like this than I will have to quit and wait for the new AHS season. |

Episode 3 "Drive-in" was just simple B-movie fare. Less pretentious than the usual Ryan Murphy output. I was into it.

Drive In was better than either Rubber(wo)man episodes, but was still kind of meh. It finally got interesting then it went off. The idea of not dragging a storyline out into more than 10 episodes is nice since AHStory tends to fall apart near the end each season, but having them be 40ish minute solo episodes isn't great either. Should at least have them run 60 minutes, maybe up to 90ish like Into the Dark, essentially making them TV movies not episodes.
