Charles P. "Charlie" Moore – Howard Hesseman (1986–1990; Seasons 1–4) is the history and social studies teacher who teaches the honors program to intellectual geniuses and help them aim for their dreams.
Billy MacGregor – Billy Connolly (1990–1991; Season 5) took over Mr. Moore's class in season 5. He is from Scotland and just like Mr. Moore he helps them aim for the stars.

Hopefully we'll get the next two seasons from the WAC before the end of this year, leaving the fourth and fifth seasons for next year (and, if there are no copyright and clearance issues, the short-lived spin-off Billy).

I know this won't be of much help, but I would order a copy directly from the WbShop as soon as you can. I ordered a copy of the first season of Mr. Novak a few months after it was released, thinking there would still be copies left with pressed discs, when in the end my copy had DVD-R (purple-sided on the reverse) discs. Normally you can still get pressed discs directly from the WbShop a few months after a new WAC title has been released. I've learnt now to pre-order a title as soon as I can (like with Head of the Class and Step by Step).

Have checked Deep Discount's Coming Soon page for the WAC (stated as "Warner Archives" on Deep Discount), and they've updated it with October's titles. Saw the second season of Head of the Class on there, but the WbShop still haven't updated their Warner Archive Pre-order section.

You could pre-order it on Deep Discount, but what if you don't get a copy of the set with pressed discs?

It's too much to ask I know, hoping for the third season to be released in November, before the Christmas and New Year break, leaving the last two seasons to be released by the WAC next year (and the short-lived spin-off Billy, if there are no rights and clearance issues).

How many episodes in the third season were filmed in Russia? I thought I'd ask, after looking at some of the synopses for the show on the IMDb (looks like there were two episodes shot there).

I completely missed the announcement that this was even coming out on DVD and just stumbled on the info a few of days ago.

I ordered Season 1 from Best Buy and thankfully got pressed discs.

Sadly no news on the fifth and final season getting a DVD release by the WAC (I wish there was). Nearly three and a half years on and still nothing. Compared to Alice, where to date I've only got the first season, with Head of the Class, likely like many others (including fellow members here) I've got the first four seasons

so I'd be disappointed if a complete series DVD set was released by Warner Brothers' main home video line or WB Entertainment, but not if a separate season 5 DVD set was released alongside it.
