A freaky coincidence, or something else?

So my gf and I like to play what I call "the guessing game" on the phone, where we think of a number or a card between 1 and 100 and have the other person guess it. I kind of feel like I have ESP, and my mom does too. We've done this successfully numerous times, but last night was particularly interesting.

Test 1: My number was 53, her guess was 54
Test 2: My card was 3 of Clubs, her guess was 4 of Clubs
Test 3: Her card was 9 of Diamonds, I guessed 9 of Diamonds

With that last one, I saw 9 of Diamonds flash before me, and it just came out.

So anyway, I decided to up the ante and have us guess a number between 1 and a million, which we've never tried before.

Her number: 374,826
My number: 248,683

So obviously not the same, but you can see similarities in the digits. Now, here's what happens if you put the digits in numerical order:

Her number: 234,678
My number: 234,688

To me, I feel the probability of that happening is more than just a mere coincidence, especially after the success of the more simpler guessing games earlier. I know there's a thing where if you're looking for connections you'll find it, but I'm just not sure.

What's everyone's thoughts on this?

I think guessing similar/close numbers probably speaks more to how compatible you and your girlfriend are, that you would subconsciously think of similar/same digits.

I really dunno about the cards. But if it was just the two times you mentioned (3 Club, 9 Diamond), then it might just be random.

I think it's possible. There are times we've done in the past, and I just feel so confident in my answers, like I know me and her are on the same wavelength. And there are other times when I know we're off, and I'm just forcing it.

We don't do this too often, and when it works I find myself a little mentally drained, even though we'd only do 3 or 4 rounds at most. Just hard to concentrate, and clear your mind, etc..

That's a cool site, I never thought to look for something like that to test myself. I just did it a few times. Got 4 or 5 hits out of 25 nearly every time, but I was just pressing randomly. The last time I did it, I decided to try and focus a little more and close my eyes and visualize the card. It took way longer, but got 8 hits. Probably just dumb luck. I'll do it a few more times though.

edit: Highest I got now was 11/25. There's this urge just to press at random, but I do feel I do better when I do it slower, and try a lit.e
