Awesome! So a new remaster on the theatrical! The theatrical was only in Standard Definition on the import. Now I will have to double dip this one.

I, too, have the Australian Madman bluray release of Buck Rogers. The new 2k scan of the theatrical sounds enticing! May just have to double-dip especially if the forthcoming extras/details make it too irresistable.

Nice job, Kino.

Same here... already have the Aussie set, but this one sounds to be a winner. Theatrical remaster sounds like it's worth the price alone. Hopefully it'll also offer SDH on the episodes.

The Buck Rogers in the 25th Century: A TV Companion book is also a great read if anyone out there is interested.

I went back and watched a trailer to refresh my memory and I had forgotten how much Twiki annoys me. Mel Blanc or not I just can't lol.

Whats weird about this series is they never really address the mutants on earth after the pilot. Its like they live in a bubble and oh well for the rest of earth.

I'm just wondering if we are getting a re-packaging of the Madman/Universal blu-ray set but with theatrical in HD? It would be interesting if there was an update in PQ but the current set looks pretty damn good. Perhaps the Kino set will save some space on the shelf as those Madman sets are pretty thick. But, hope Kino doesn't try to cramp everything onto a couple of discs. I'm might purchase the theatrical but not sure that I'm going to double-dip on the set unless there are some damn good reviews regarding improved PQ are some exclusive extras.

Yeah - thought the feature film version had been lost. Glad it survived or was able to be rebuilt.

If you like the original Battlestar Galactica (1978), you will probably like this. It's very campy and just silly but it's fun and has nostalgic value for me as I watched it when I was a kid.

The first season was anyway. The second season was more serious and it was very shortly cancelled after that. The second season was not very good.

I remember Buck’s sidekick, Hawk, from the 2nd season. Really cool character.

I had been holding off on the Australian release, so I'm all in for this.

Yeah this would be a blind buy for me too...but it looks right up my alley!

Now if we could get a Reg 1/A Blu-ray release of Gerry Anderson's U.F.O. we'd have it made!

Nice to see the 9-minute exhibitors showreel that was released as a one-reeler on Super 8mm included as well.

You mean this will be on this US set? Or was it already included on the Australian set? I didn't think the Australian set had any extras of note?
