Funniest Swears in a Movie - Blu-ray Forum

There's profanity-a-plenty in today's movies, but the art of the well-timed swear has disappeared it seems.

I'm not a fan of f-words in PG-13 movies, so here's a few of my favourites, all from R-rated pictures.

My favorite is.....

..... I would post the scene, but I got a funny feeling that I'm being watched by a higher power. All I will say is I love Plains, Trains, and Automobiles.

One my all-time favorites:

The “What the f***?!” by that one dude early on in Die Hard with a Vengeance while McClane and Zeus meet for the first time is one of the funniest F bombs that never fails to make me chuckle.

Also, pretty much most of what’s in this Hot Fuzz profanity compilation that’s been “edited for TV”:

I always find it hilarious when I watch a movie that I have seen way too many times edited on TV and then I watch it unedited. This is especially true for 80's comedies. I don't have any specific examples, but hearing that curse word just makes it so much more funny!

I’m definitely fine with liberal swearing in R rated movies as long as it fits the context (for instance it feels weird in mob movies when they don’t swear), but I totally agree that PG-13 F bombs are my favorite as less is often more.

Speaking of which, the F bombs in Bruce Almighty, 500 Days of Summer, and 1408 (even though it’s not a comedy) are very amusing.
