The official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter account sent out an image of Super Sonic with several shapes overlayed earlier this week. Eagled-eyed fans zoomed in on the image to find a faint number 3 on the character's cheek. Later on, Dr. Eggman's voice actor Mike Pollock tweeted out a link to a Schoolhouse Rock video all about the number 3, suggesting that the image was no accident. °°°

For once I wish they would make a full open world Sonic game instead of these level based games. The landscape could be giant to show how fast Sonic could get across it. But if Sega keeps going with the same formula, they'll keep getting the same results of lackluster Sonic Adventure games. I played the first one and lost interest but can see how others might enjoy it.

I know many here are uber nostalgic for Sonic but I'm amazed at how many still care considering how many terrible Sonic games have been put out over the last several years. Sonic Mania was good but in terms of modern 3D Sonic, meh I don't think ANY of them were that good. Not even the Dreamcast games. At the time they seemed good but I don't think they've held up well at all.

Yes, it is unfortunate. The racing games are pretty good, but the other 3D Sonic games haven't really been up to snuff. Maybe Sonic Adventure 3 will be a 2D game from Christian Whitehead, seems like he knows how to keep Sonic games fun.

Sonic Adventure, if they reboot the series, could be something good if they devise all new ideas.

A Sonic Adventure 3 would have been a day 1 for me. The first is one of my favorite games. And I loved raising my chao in SA2.
