I really liked this movie when I first say it in the theaters but when I rewatched it on dvd recently it had seemed to aged quite a bit. It's still an enjoyable movie but it wasn't as good as I remembered it.

I remember loving this movie, but as I re watched it it seems to have lost it's edge. Don't get me wrong it is still good but not as good as I remember. Good for people who have not seen it. (it still creeps me out a bit when he pulls his fingers backwards.)

yea i agree, i liked it before when it came out, and i saw it recently and it look old! i would like to have this on blu though. It was one of my favorite movies when i was kid.

I viewed it a few months ago. And though it was a powerful horror film for its time, it has sadly lost some of its magic. I think that's mostly due to technological advances, thus rendering the CD Rom stuff obsolete and borderline silly, but I'll claim that the film still works on a number of different levels. There's a great, dreadful atmosphere and the score is dark and menacing. Furlong was a charismatic actor when he was young, and he brings a certain likability to an unlikable character. I'll be purchasing it day one and watching it shortly thereafter, but I agree that it's not the same as it was.
