Default For all Canadians...

Hi,

I was wondering what Satellite/Cable provider out there is the best for selection and quality of HD.
I was planning on going with Bell, but I have heard weary things about them. I wish I could get DirecTV but oh well.

Anyway any feedback from anyone with the providers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Pred...

I have bell, which has good hd programming but HORRIBLE customer service and support.

I've had starchoice aswell but didn't like it as much.

I've been using Rogers for over a year now. It's a 1080i signal, but looks amazing. Unfortunately, I have not used other services to compare.

I beleive in Calgary its Shaw. Pretty much the same, I think they divide territories between each other. I dont think it has as much HD channels as bell.

I have Starchoice and find that the HD channels are good enough to watch sports and movies but picture quality doesn't come close to Blu-ray. There are a total of 26 HD channels on Starchoice, 1 payper view, 3 French, and 2 movie channels. The HD networks carry so few programs that are in HD so I hardly watch anything besides sports & movies.

Note: Starchoice HD receivers doesn't have HDMI outputs, you can use DVI to HDMI or component.
