PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 Format Discs

When you insert a PlayStation 4 Format Disc, does the PlayStation 5 rip the PS4 disc or download the software from the internet? Company "M's" console downloads the software from the internet when you insert a disc formatted for their first or second consoles.
