Default Do i need a AV Receiver to my BenQ HT2050A projector and soundbar setup?

So i want a nice soundbar to my BenQ HT2050A 1080P Home Theater Projector and i picked Samsung Soundbar HW-Q900T/XE. But now i wonder how to install it in the best way possible, i dont think this projector has any bluetooth, so i need cables, HDMI i guess, but do i also need a AV receiver like the Sony STR-DH590 Five-Channel AV Receiver?. I will use a Blu-ray player Panasonic DMP-BDT181EG and a laptop to my BenQ projector.

Plug your PC and Panasonic player* into your sound bar and your sound bar into your projector with HDMI cables.

*If your player has 2 HDMI outputs, just plug the audio into the projector and send the video to the projector.

Order some decent HDMI leads from Monoprice, you don't need 4K certified ones (as your projector is 1080p), but I'd get them anyway.

Projectors are more or less designed to be a component in a whole AV setup. It's usually beneficial (though I guess not necessary) to connect it with a receiver and some sort of surround sound system. Your receiver can decode proper audio codecs, potentially push more power, and act as a switching hub for your media components.
Depending on your soundbar's connections, you will need either an optical/toslink cable or HDMI cable to connect to your projector. A soundbar is not itself meant to be plugged into a receiver, so it's either/or.
