Very different films imo.
Both are great, but I like the characters in TR better. Only thing I don’t like about TR are a few of the music choices Tony Scott made. ...although the homage to Badlands was perfect. |

Glad to see all the love for TRUE.
NBK was the first big Stone feature to miss the mark for me, and actually now that I think of it, I haven't liked any of his stuff since, so NBK is a real turning point. It seems to carry over all the stylistic innovation from JFK (which I adore, and rewatch the way other people rewatch GODFATHER pics), but without the content, which makes the film seem like an empty exercise to me (plus I don't like the characters.) |
