Sweet! I remember Peter Jackson saying he was working on 4K restorations of his old stuff, I really hope Braindead (Dead Alive) and Meet the Feebles follow.

Been waiting for those 2 forever. Last time I've seen them was on bootleg VHS in the 90's.

Well, it seems I've jumped the gun. I know that people have been reporting "The Frighteners" postcards for a while but there's no source from Blu dot com's "news" page and the cover stems back from GeekGab. Still, I would be very surprised if "The Frighteners" wasn't an UHD.

Yeah, we've known this for a while courtesy of Arrow's postcards. It's getting the UHD treatment in Germany, I believe, so it'd be kinda odd and anti-climatic if Arrow just plopped it back on to Blu-ray.

There’s enough clues pointing to it true. But I don’t know why everyone is taking GeekGab’s words as gospel. He’s had a Twitter since November and is now touted as an insider that Bill Hunt is listening to.

Basically there are several people out there who monitor retailers all over the world for their pre-order listings, and so when they see something they post it onto social media. That news gets relayed to various places, including here, and Bill follows up a day or so later. Whether that's just his followers telling him or Bill trawling this place I don't know, prolly the former if I'm being charitable, but either way it doesn't do anything for his cred. Unfortunately he finds himself with an ever-dwindling list of "industry sources" - some of whom fed him pure bullshit with all that LOTR 4K rebuild malarkey - so he's got to take it where he can get it.

Though given jamesdevil's rant in the Indy thread I do recognise the irony of ragging on Bill hunt while people on here are taking some random twitterer's 'news' as gospel.
