Trying to learn more about this...

My daughter wants to play Jackbox Party 7. Apparently I need a code for this?

Can someone help with this or on what I need to do?

Basically the person who owns the game is the host and in order for people to play a game, a code is displayed. You go to the link given on the game title screen and enter the code on your phone or other device and you're in the game.
