How's the video quality ? Is it really a remastered version ?

I'm not sure, as I'm still figuring out how to watch the disc with English subtitles, but there is no information on the packaging about it being remastered, much less in 4K as advertised online. From what I have seen, the French disc does look a little more vivid and I would assume it's encoded better than the UK and US discs, since it has about a 20 Mbps higher video bitrate, but really, I was expecting more. Please note however that I have only viewed the beginning of the film and done one or two spot checks otherwise.

Hopefully I can figure out the subtitle issue soon and watch the whole film. When I do, I'll report back.

This sounds really strange as it was clearly advertised as a new 4K scan and M6 Video is known for always using brand new transfers for their Digibook collection.

The transfer used for the US/UK blu ray disc is an old one that was used for the french DVD released back in the 2000's, so it would seem unlikely that M6 Video used this one for their brand new blu ray release.

I have watched this on my 4K setup. Image during the opening credits is rough and about the same as the old US blu, which I own. But after that, PQ is noticeably better, especially in regard of colors: they’re a bit more vibrant here compared to the washed up palette on the other disc. Image seemed generally more defined and cleaner to me, but I’m no expert. Nice, but by no way spectacular. Glad I picked it up.

This sounds a little disapointing as I was expecing a stunning 4k remaster, especially considering M6 Video previous track record with this collection (the fact there is no booklet included is also frustrating).

Will have to wait for some comparison screenshots before I make up my mind.
