Very cool that they are using the original theatrical artwork. No new bonus features, and the existing Universal disc looks damn-near perfect.

Uncanny...my work buddy was telling me about the Danbury Trashers documentary earlier this morning and I remarked how much it sounded like Slap Shot.

Even though it's the same disc, I'm sort of kicking myself for buying the regular Blu-ray less than year ago to fill a gap in my Newman collection...that's a really sweet steelbook.

Love that movie and love the artwork cover of the Shout Factory steelbook. I already own Universal Blu-ray in my collection but I might getting this.

So the only reason for this is to release it in the form of a steelbook with no A/V upgrade?

No thanks, I'll stick with the current blu-ray release which offers fine A/V quality.

Tempting with the OG art but no A/V upgrade?!? Same old Hanson-focused features? $20? I'll stick with the laserdisc and VHS for the OG art and the blu to view. Now let's see how lazy the back side art will be..
