The artwork was sourced from cyclorama's post in Part 2's thread. It's from a Finnish site, but should be the same for the US, since it matches the previous two SB's.

Yes, both 2D and 3D should be on the same disc, like previous releases.

Except that previous Paramount releases only included an anaglyph 3D version, so if that's all the steelbook has, it's worthless.

Oh now they're just torturing us. There is no way Im waiting until 2029 for part 8. And there are already too many inconsistencies between the first two. Since next year will be one of the bye years maybe they will decide to release the remaining 5 all at once.

Seeing as the "40th Anniversary Limited Edition" banner (used on the first two) has been dropped on the third, maybe they will release all eight before 2029. It would be awful to wait seven years to get the entire set.

It's very likely they could stop after part 4. Or if they do release 5-8 individually it wouldn't surprise me at all if they did something stupid like use ugly, cheap cover art like the part 5-8 DVD releases in 2001-2002.

I would be very annoyed if they stopped at 4. I bought 1 and 2 with the hope they will at least get to part 8.

I have three different copies of Friday the 13th part 3 so might be tempted by this steelbook.

I collect every edition that they release for this franchise. I'm "that guy."

If this follows the tradition of the first 2 Steelbooks, it will be the original blu-ray in there, which has the red/blue crappy 3D which is barely 3D.

Since the first two Steelbooks, they have done 4K scans of the first 4 films. Sadly, that probably will not be in here, despite being in Paramount's recent 8 movie collection.

I already have this on pre-order as a collector's item, not as anything that I ever intend on opening and using.

I own the Scream Factory box set and the Paramount red case collection. Yeah, I'm "that guy."

Post # 31 of this thread shows the back cover,this will have the new mastered in 4k transfer for the steelbook.
