Default Andes to Amazon (BBC) on Blu-ray?

I have the DVD of the excellent 2000 TV series Andes to Amazon from BBC Naturtal History Unit but want to know if it is available on Blu-Ray. As far I can see, not yet in the UK but on Wiki it says that outside the UK the series was called Wild South America. There is a Blu-Ray release of that name (with even the subtitle "From the Andes to the Amazon"), ostensibly taken from Animal Planet channel. BUT, apart from the fact that the disc is now OOP (I might find it on eBay), the US Amazon site says that it only runs for 1 hour and 41 minutes, whereas the original BBC release ran for almost 5 hours. Therefore, the US disc may not even be from the same series.

Any thoughts on whether the original BBC release is going to be available on BD?
