I wish they'd released this when the BD was released. As it is, the BD came with a 4K digital copy, so I'm set. It's a fun movie.

This is a welcome surprise. I have the 4k stream, and the HDR is great. It's such a bright and colorful movie, both visually and thematically. I look forward to getting the UBD.

For anyone who's watched the 4K stream, does the HDR shine on this as much as you'd expect?

I'll be tempted to pick this up, not in the least part because I want to support more comedies on UHD.

This is an odd choice of a movie getting a 4K so long after the BD. I know it had it's following, but has it suddenly surged in popularity or something to make them go back and finally release 4K?

I watched it, thought it was fine. I liked the actors in it more than the actual movie overall, but I'd been thinking of picking up the BD when it got a tad cheaper, but now I'll wait for the 4K to go to $15ish lol

I've read that it ended up becoming something of a surprise streaming hit last summer. The blu may have sold better than expected for Lionsgate as well. My digital code did not redeem in HD on Vudu so I'll probably go ahead and double dip on the physical release.

Oh wow. That’s unexpected. I’d go for this at a good discounted price. Since it’s Lionsgate and not an initial release it’s interesting they didn’t go for a steelbook on this, they could have had a lot of fun with it.

it's so disappointing that they didn't do an audio commentary in character as Barb and Star. that would have been amazing.

I just preordered! One of my favorite comedies of the last five years and the blu-ray was a complete blind buy. Looking forward to this!
