Odd. Are the first two on 4k yet? I love Part lll, just think it’s weird they skipped over the first two films unless it’s a licensing issue between them & Paramount?

Full Moon appears to have the rights to them, so I'm not sure. This was just added to MVD's website, so it's possible the other two may get added as well.

Maybe this one was just the simplest choice with material already on hand. Maybe no additional work was required for the third film. The first film needs a proper remaster. I could see that one taking a little longer to happen.

Plus they could need funds to do remasters of the first two, so maybe this is their way of earning some money to do it properly.

Nice announcement! I just seen this movie on DVD 3 week ago and happy to getting this and Blade is my favorite. No word for first 2 of Puppet Master 4K UHD

Also it's on Tubi and Vudu (free with ads).

Those are the only ones I need on 4K. I loved 4 & 5 as a kid, but Blu-ray is fine with those. Hopefully Trancers sells well and maybe that'll help fund PM 1 & 2 and the Trancers sequels on 4K.

Charlie Band said on his vidcast today that they're releasing Puppet Master III first because they can't locate the negative to part one. He did assure that it's not gone, just misplaced for the moment.

I still find it hilarious that he skipped 1 and 2. As if a little thing like not having the negative would stop him from releasing a 4K UHD
