Default Interesting anecdote from ex-HD DVD owner...

Found this on Facebook.

"I recently traded in all my HD DVDs, my xbox360 and games and bought a PS3 and "at worlds end" and I have to say im glad.

While I loved HD DVD and I still do, its just a lot more comforting knowing im with BD now and that I can actually walk into a store and find films to buy.

I dunno about anywhere else, but in Newcastle (UK) virtually all the shops only sell BD hardware and films now.

Not to mention the PS3 doent sound like a jumbo jet when playing a film."

So, while Woolworth's is the only one to announce retail exclusivity, it appears that many other shops have given HD DVD the boot too in the UK. Can anybody from across the pond confirm this?

BD has always had a bigger presence in UK, if the shops aren't exclusive to BD, they would only have a few, and a very limited selection, of HD DVDs.

I've been to Newcastle several times. Great beer! I miss the U.K.

Someday I'll want an X-box to play Fable 2. Maybe they'll have a Blu Ray edition by then... that doesn't sound like a jet.

Get it for the PC. I think that'll come out there. Fable did and I loved it.

Then buy the PC version. The funny thing about XBox 360 is that they claim to have all these "EXCLUSIVE" games, yet you can pick every single one of them up on the PC.

Try playing Warhawk on your computer

XBox is such garbage

My local HMV shelf space is about 3:1 in Blu-ray's favour.
OK, I'm not in the UK, but from HMV's point of view I'm sure we're treated the same.
