Day one, been waiting for this like, forever. It would be interesting to hear more about how this one unearthed, back in the days someone who had dug rather deep into Bergonzellis history - Wayne(?) from Sarcophilus Films IIRC - told that only uncut print was in possession of director"s family member who was sitting on it with rather high price tag and absolutely no personal interest to ever see it released. Dunno, wrong memories or urban legends, but nevertheless I can't wait to see the fulll lenght version as the laserdisc release I have was already insane enough to entertain me and apparently there will be lotta more to see against its ~75 min running time.

I just finished watching his. Huh. So far this has been my best buy for this year, and I've bought a LOT. Tagline could be "Bergonzelli goes Buio Omega", basically this is 90 minutes of pure madness and depravty, and for those who have watched this from any of the earlier sources and wondered about the clumsy editing there is now plenty of additional material to see. I'm not one to talk about PQ as I've been there since betamax generation and can take it all as long as I get entertained by what I watch: There is noticeable amount of grain, especially during dark scenes, but picture remains sharp and there's no any smudges, speckles or dropouts altogether. I didn't really even care. Recommended to anyone who enjoy of clasic warped italian insanity.

Watched this one, and had a hard time getting through it. Had its moments, but it was pretty boring overall and the English dub was one of the worst I've heard. I watched it in English because all the actors were speaking their lines in English, but I probably should have watched it in Italian. Either way, picture looked pretty good, but this is a bottom of the barrel type of film for me.

I just started this one. Is it voice actors dubbing (instead of on screen actors) regardless of which track? It looks like their lips were speaking English, so I was going with that for now.

EDIT: Movie is crazy, but I enjoyed it. According to the commentary, John Phillip Law does dub his own character on the English track.

The descriptions of this have me curious, but I feel like so far I've struck out bigtime on any Italian genre movies produced in the late 80s/early 90s. As someone who loves the nuttiness of the early 80s like say, Burial Ground or Contamination or The Beyond, is wayyyy less amused by Zombie 3 or Cat in the Brain, and loathes Paganini Horror and Shocking Dark, how does this measure up?

It's more like the ones you like and less like the ones you don't. After watching Blood Delirium I posted somewhere that it would make a great double feature with The Black Cat (1989). They're at a similar nuttiness level but Blood Delirium has much more nudity (i.e. it's a winner).

I'll have to get it. I did take a risk and got Black Cat (1989) and...that one with the guy with razor fingers from Severin but haven't watched those yet either. Glad to hear it sounds like Black Cat is also likely to be a fun time!

I'll offer a differing opinion. I like all the ones you mentioned except Shocking Dark and Paganini and couldn't finish the film. Tone is way off and not interesting enough for me. I'd say skip it.

Well, I'll watch The Black Cat and then wait for a sale first either way. Thanks for the warning, though!!

Agreed, if people thought Patrick Still Live was totally bonkers they haven't seen anything yet. I also found fascinating that certain things have been left pretty much completely unexplained, like the relationship between painter and his servant, but in this little world pictured in the movie they still feel completely natural. They just are. Dunno, if someone would come up with movie like this today, he would be locked in a looney bin with key thrown away for good.
