Default TRIUMPH: Rock & Roll Machine (2021)

Triumph: Rock & Roll Machine (2021)

Beneath the pyro, spandex, and heavy metal hair, awaits an intriguing and deeply personal story of underdog rock band Triumph who rose to world domination in the 80's then mysteriously disappeared at the height of their fame. Release Date Nov 04, 2022.

I saw Triumph in concert twice in the 80s. Even met Rik on his first solo tour. If the price is right I’ll pick it up. I’m sure they wore spandex but they didn’t look like a Sunset Hollywood band. I remember the lasers and pyro though.

Thunder 7 & The Sport of Kings tours. But I had buddies who saw them on Allied Forces.

Triumph never quite did it for me - I respected them as a quality AOR band, but my personal tastes ran a bit more metallic. Albeit cheesy, light, and melodic metallic.

However, I do very much enjoy their 1992 LP "Edge of Excess," which is an outlier in their catalog.

I am in for this blu-ray, though. I welcome any documentation of that era of music.
