They're not good but at least they tried to do something different with the series. This just apes the original's style without anything else to add to it.

What’s sad is 2018 start out being decent despite some issues then kills and ends ruined everything.

Now the only question is to jump on this or wait and see if Scream Factory/Universal releases a Collector's Edition set for next year?

On the topic, wouldn't it be great if Universal went the extras mile and made the cover art for this set match with the Scream Factory releases (same with RZ films from Lionsgate)?

One of those companies might add more extras in their release - but at the expense of quality control...

I'll get this set. I really liked ENDS, and the other two have started to grow on me.

I don't think Scream Factory operates under Universal, Universal only publishes their discs.
Still, there are some Scream Factory releases from Universal so I really hope both The Thing and the modern Halloween Trilogy get Collector's Editions from Scream Factory, with Dolby Vision for Halloween 1.
I'm still waiting for Scream Factory to release the Rob Zombie remakes.
I think they should also give Halloween 2018 the theatrical Dolby Atmos mix since the DTS:X mix on the Blu-ray is a remix.

I also think Shout! Factory never released a non-documentary disc with DTS:X. But that might change if they ever release Mary and the Witch's Flower in 4K UHD, since that film has a DTS:X mix on the Japanese UHD.

I've already got the previous two films, so I'll pass on the trilogy set (and wait for SF to possibly do Collector's Editions of the new films).

That's technically the case already. Halloween 2018 and Halloween Kills are on UHD already, and I don't think there was any doubt this one would get the same treatment.

Allegedly, Scream Factory tried to do a a UHD version of their previous box set, but Lionsgate refused to license out the Zombie films. Hence, the individual releases. I could see Lionsgate eventually doing UHDs of the Zombie Halloween films (and again, I could see SF do Collector's Editions of the Blumhouse films), but at this point, a giant box set for all the films seems unlikely.

Yet another person who thinks their opinion is the ONLY opinion. How about you act like an adult and have some respect for the fact that different people like different things?

Nice. Held off picking up the individual releases as I think we all knew this would be coming along eventually.

Would be great if they give us 2018 with Dolby Vision in this set too, but won't hold my breath.
