I just hope the grading is good on this one. I had no issue with the Studio Canal.


Going back to the BDs, there was a difference in grading between the Paramount and Studio Canal, just like with The Graduate. Though the UHD of Condor ended up being closer to the Paramount BD.

The HDR10 layer is arse with at least two instances of literal bricks:

Plus, bright areas can be un-optimized and are pretty much just a sea of macroblocking.

also the 5.1 track was pitched too high which is strange because the 5.1 track on the old Paramount BD is clearly the same remix but the Paramount BD is correctly pitched

as for the original mono being included, little to no chance considering it's Paramount unfortunately

very likely this will be the same 4K master that SC put out a bit ago though, Paramount's licensed 4K titles seem to be one that either Paramount remastered prior or another international company did it and is just gonna let it make its way to the US market


is it also possible to add a "coming from Kino Lorber" to the thread title?

Is Kino aware of pitch issues? Hate to see it repeated if they use the same materials.

considering they're using whatever Paramount is sending them, it's possible that since the 5.1 track was already correct on Paramount's BD, it'll be correct on Kino's 4K too

The 5.1 was corrected for the SC UHD.

In HDR10 there's one prominent frame durring the opening credits with HUGE (not hyperbole) blocks, which is only fixed via the DV layer.

Yes, this, but "not so" doesn't do it quite justice with this one. Shit is what said frame is in HDR10.
