Default Vizio or TCL 4K TV?

I came into a small amount of money and I thinking about finally upgrading to a 4K TV. My budget will be close to $700-$800 maybe a bit more. I'm looking at either Vizio 50" or TCL 50" with Dolby Vision, LG and Sony is out of my budget. I heard that right before the Super Bowl is a good time to buy because they are pushing for the big game. I'm not sure if Vizio offers OLED or not.

If there's a specific model you have your eyes on, you can check rtings.com and see what they wrote about it. They write a lot of reviews on TVs. Hope this helps.

you should go for 55" or maybe even 65" at that price range for those brands.

Vizio does make OLEDs now, but will be $1000 or more

Yes, Vizio have OLED TVs but with your budget you won't be able to get an OLED, the TV will have to be a LED because you'll still have to pay the sales tax, which is not included in the price of the TV. If you're only estimating the price for the TV (without the sales tax), then your budget should be $600.00-$700.00. Also, as for any purchase of a new TV, it's highly recommended to buy an extended warranty with it, so the TV will be cover for any repairs or a replacement, when the one-year manufacturer's warranty has expired.

Vizio top end out performs TCL top end.

That said I have a 40' TCL 5 series as a kitchen tv and its perfectly fine for that.

I didn't do much research but from what I dd read over a year ago they make a solid budget tv vs a lot of the name brands.

So while I'd take a higher end Vizio if I'm shopping mid range vs. mid range I'd take the TCL with Dolby etc.
