Holy crap!! I figured this might roll out somewhere down the line, but that was lightning-fast. I guess shout anticipated imminent renewed interest in the whole franchise and grabbed up the 4k license to this as fast as they could. Count me in. George C. Scott was a beast. He alone legitimizes this 4k purchase, for me.

That is one perfect slipcover! Other companies could learn a thing or two from that!

Of course, I just bought the blu-ray, including the slip, a couple of weeks ago.
Should have known, that this would happen

Hopefully Arrow will release this in the UK. Don't mind importing but wow does it cost an arm and a leg these days.

If you’re following that line of reason it’s still EXORCIST 3 because THE NINTH CONFIGURATION would then be the second Exorcist movie.

I have never understood how anyone would think this...? That movie has very little/nothing to do with anything supernatural. Besides, it's also in a totally different time frame, and no characters between the two. Actors, sure. But they aren't related whatsoever. Or am I missing something?

Are you talking about the Legion cut, or is this director's cut reconstruction something different? I can't recall hearing anything different with the voices, but I could be remembering wrong.

The actress who plays Kinderman's wife had her lines looped by another actress.

I shall have to sit and watch the Legion cut again, I suppose. Not a big fan of it, but maybe I shall take it to the specific scene rather than watch it all

The LEGION director's cut. There's a quick added scene extension of Kinderman returning home from work, and during that added scene, you can hear Lampert's original on-set voice speaking a couple lines from off-screen ("Momma, when you're right, you're right... Is that you, honey?"). It's rather jarring because it then cuts back to the theatrical cut footage with her dubbed voice when Kinderman is in the kitchen talking to her. On the Arrow release, this footage is between 9:26-9:51.

Chris

The question is will they include the original 2.0 Stereo track included on the Arrow release or use the same 5.1>2.0 downmix that appeared on their past blu ray which has no separation.

Remember when Scream Factory didn’t just re-release their old Blu Rays on 4K? Those were the days.
