Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Renny Harlin's action thriller Cliffhanger (1993) with a brand new 4K Blu-ray SteelBook Edition of the film, which will be available for purchase on May 30.

Description: Sylvester Stallone, John Lithgow, Michael Rooker, Janine Turner and Ralph Waite star in this high-altitude avalanche of action: a non-stop adventure peak with suspense and capped with heart-quaking terror. For Rocky Mountain Rescue, the mission is almost routine: locate five climbers. With the woman he loves (Turner) and his best friend (Rooker), Gabe Walker (Stallone) braves the icy peaks only to discover that the distress call is really a trap set by merciless international terrorist Eric Qualen (Lithgow). Hi bud, thanks for making this thread i have a question as i mention above in the Quote 17 Never Before Seen are basically in sequence in this release during the movie play and what that suppose to mean previously available deleted scene kindly please explain thanks

The replay value of 'Cliffhanger' is immense - that opening scene still gives me goosebumps. Wish they could assemble excised footage (some of which is obvious with continuity gaps) and release a definitive edition. 30 years !!! Damn, I was 20

I figured this was coming with it being the 30th anniversary and Sony updating a bunch of their other catalog UHD releases with Dolby Vision and the original audio tracks.

I imagine In the Line of Fire is next since that also came out in 1993.
